VICTORY FOR THE METAL FATHERS
THE ULTIMATE DEFENDERS HAVE BEEN CHOSEN.
"When I grew up in the early 70ties, the sound played by my dad in our living room was Black Sabbath, Rainbow, 10CC, Cream, Deep Purple and such, so I got a solid base for the later Glory Ride! My own son is 14 now, and a Manowarrior from the very beginning of his life!"
"When I was nervous on the way to my first soccer game in elementary school, my dad opened the CD player in the car and put in something to try and lift my spirits. Kings of metal came thundering through the speakers and crashed right into me. I don’t remember if my team won that game, but I remember feeling unstoppable as my ten year old self ran around on that field. After, It became an ongoing agreement between my dad and I that if we did not play kings of metal before my game, my team would lose. And so we kept blasting Kings of Metal in the car, chanting along for the opposing team to Fall, lose, fail, and perish. Though, the last song we put on before we left the car was always Mountains, even though we had to change the CD, which was difficult to do with the old CD player that didn’t like to cooperate . As I get older I’ve still never stopped, still playing the album (and Mountains) before AP exams in high school, performances, competitions, and every other major event in my life since I was about 10. Now, I have just turned 20 and am in college studying Chemical Engineering, still doing my same ritual for success that I’ve been following for years. I’ve spread the word to friends of mine, sharing my playlist of songs that I listen to, which now features other manowar songs like Bridge of Death, Defender, and Battle Hymn too. I love my dad endlessly and although I am not a son, I look up to him and heed his call always."
"My father introduced me and my brother and sister to music, he was also the one that stood 11 hours in line for our very first Manowar concert in Dortmund, 2007, so we could be in tbe first row. He was also the person that always picked us up when we flew home from touring! Through all the years, he took us to countless Heavy Metal concerts, including several Manowar shows! When we grew older, we brought him along because we couldn't even imagine going without him. He is the best man I know and a great example for the kind of man I want to be."
"My father introduced me to heavy metal and manowar when I was 5 years old. We even choreographed a sword battle to the song “sons of Odin”. I am now 13 and my father and I still bond over our love of heavy metal and manowar."
